I was very sorry to hear of John's death. His company was always enjoyed and I loved our conversations about hockey especially. He was the first person to tip me off about the potential of someone called "Nathan MacKinnon" when MacKinnon was still only about 14 years old. John knew his stuff! Sincere condolences to my cousin Judy, and to John, Angie and their families.

Chris and I wish to express our deepest condolences to you, Judy, John and Angie and the family on the passing of dear friend John. I was very honoured when John asked me to be his best man at your wedding, and our family friendship grew over the years as children and grandchildren brightened our lives and we participated in so many events together. We will all remember him through tears and laughter, mostly laughter, since John had a personal knack for letting us look on the funny side of many situations. John and Angie, your father was so immensely proud of your achievments, academically, athletically, and career wise. He loved his grandchildren and never hesitated to bring them up in any conversations we had. Chris and I look forward to celebrating his life next summer, when I am sure there will be many stories to tell;he touched so many people in so many ways. Our hearts go out to you at this difficult time.

I read about John's death this morning and I was quite saddened. My condolences go out to all the family. It certainly is different around here in the summer but you can be rested knowing the folks that bought your cottage are enjoying it. I hope John didn't have to suffer long in hospital and that you Judy are feeling well. Ward and Bev.

Hi Judy, Both as a past friend and team mate and representing the Bob Boucher Hockey Assistance Fund I would like to send you and whole family our sincere condolences. We lost track for a bunch of years but getting to see you guys in Fredericton that winter of the CIS was great. We had tried to meet up again the next year but we could not track you guys down. I have fond memories of John as I spent some fun times with him in New Glasgow after the first winter we played together in 68/69. John was always a gentleman and fun to be around. I hope that the last times for John were positive and I know that he leaves a ton of great memories in his time, to give you all peace and happiness. Another former Huskies, Rick Fraughton

Judy, we've been at the cottage and I'm now catching up on news I may have missed. I am so sorry to read that John has died. I think often of our shared time together in Cabinet Secretariat. While there we solved many of the world's biggest problems together, especially those related to hockey and baseball... and provincial politics, of course. I think the last timer I spoke with John was at a UNB-SMU game several years ago. I know the last number of years has been tough for him and for you, John and Angie. May you all find peace and appreciation in your good memories. Jim

To all of John's family, I have just learned of John's passing and extend my Condolances to you all. I knew John from work with the government of New Brunswick. John was good at his job, difficult and tough at times but that is what is needed in the Finance Department. He was dedicated to this great province... Which is what really matters.... New Brunswick is better for his work. Sincerely Doug Johnson Retired from NBDOT
