Obituary of Barbara Ann Doull

With great sadness we announce the death of Barbara Ann Doull who passed after a long battle with illness at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital on August 10, 2020. Born in Jacquet River on July 25, 1938, daughter of the late Harriet and Louis Guitard. Barbara worked as an RNA at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst NB. Later she moved to Cambridge Ontario and worked as an esthetician. She loved to watch classic movies, and documentaries. Being a devout Catholic she enjoyed watching Sunday service on TV and collecting religious memorabilia. She was also an avid hockey fan. Barbara was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary Branch 77, Durham-Jacquet River Legion. She loved having visits from her great grandchildren, something she always looked forward to. She is survived by her son Allyson and his wife Suzanne of Hanwell NB, Cathy wife of predeceased son Alvin, brother Allan Guitard of Jacquet River NB and sister Jean Chamberlain of Montreal QC. Barbara’s 4 grandchildren are Rachel, Kimberly, Eric and Emily. She also has 6 great grandchildren Kaia, Sabine, Phoenix, Liliana, Everleigh and Addisson. She was predeceased by her husband Dawson, daughter Sheila and son Alvin. The funeral will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm at St Gabriel’s Cemetery, Jacquet River. Following the service there will be a gathering at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 77. Instead of flowers make a donation to the St Gabriel’s Rectory, Legion Branch 77 or a Palliative Care unit in memory of Barbara.
