Obituary of Marjory Eileen Donaldson

Marjory Rogers Donaldson, artist and gallery director, passed in her sleep on January 4, 2023, in Fredericton.  She was born Marjory Eileen Rogers in Woodstock, NB, in 1926, and spent most of her professional career at the Art Centre at UNB.  Her personal art appeared in many galleries across Atlantic Canada and she was commissioned for many portraits.

 

She grew up in Woodstock and her artistic talents were obvious at a young age. She earned a Fine Arts degree at Mount Allison University.  71 years ago she married her lifelong partner Allan Donaldson.

 

She was predeceased by her husband Allan, her parents LaFayette Rogers and Evelyn Dodge, and her brothers Laurence and Clair. 

 

She will be missed by her son Norman, her daughter-in-law Saroja, her grandson Narayan, and her many friends.
