I am so sorry to hear “Mrs Hoyt” has passed away. She was such a wonderful part of my schooling memories. Her beautiful smile and kindness towards me will never be forgotten- thinking of your family as you celebrate her life together, she spoke so fondly of her family in the classroom and I’m sure she will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Mr. Hoyt, Brad, Margo, family and friends. Mrs. Hoyt taught me at Albert St. JH in grade 9. She was my greatest supporter and devoted endless hours helping me prepare to represent my class and school in oratorical contests. Long before and after Albert St, I knew Mrs. Hoyt from the rink. Her friendship and support in and out of the classroom, on and off the ice made a profound difference in my life. During our many conversations, rarely did Brad or Margo's name not come up. It was obvious to everyone how proud she was of the both of you and that to her, of all her accomplishments (and there were many), her greatest joy and accomplishment in life was her family and children. Although we lost touch after I graduated from university and moved to Ontario, she has forever held a special place in my heart. The world is a little sadder place today without Mrs. Hoyt in it. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God bless, Wendy Sabean

She is a certainly a teacher we all remember well, who helped us make great memories when we were in school. I am very sorry to hear of her passing, and I offer my most sincere condolences.

Many of my memories revolve around the rink. The LBR in particular. I remember Casey as such a vibrant person (not just the lips) and full of such vigour.
My heart prayers and positive energy goes out to you and your family especially to Margo. Thanks for all the fabulous figure skating fun. I’m certain Casey will be analyzing figure skating with my brother Doug soon. Especially ice dance!
God bless, Mary (Kelly) McCarthy

Mrs. Hoyt was one of those teachers who impact your life. In grade 8 social studies at Albert St. School, she introduced me to the concept of feminism. A working professional woman, she was an excellent teacher and role model and I have never forgotten her or what it means to be a strong female teacher. I am very sorry she is gone and my condolences to the entire family. Hilary Earl.
