Born on March 15, 1943 in Chicoutimi, QC, Phil was a son of the late Phillip Delancey and Marion (Sayers) Booker. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Katherine Anne Greer. He was 80.

Phil started his working career in the life insurance and heavy equipment industries before joining the New Brunswick Real Estate Association in 1973 where he was an agent, broker and passionate pre and post real estate instructor. Phil launched Booker Realty Inc. and supported the Greater Fredericton real estate community for over 50 years.

Over his life, Phil had a passion for teaching skiing and hunting, but what he loved most of all was running. Phil’s running career included 43 marathons (7 Boston Marathons) and countless 5k & 10k road races. He loved competing at the Cabot Trail Relay Race, having done that race for 30 years consecutively. Phil was the recipient of the RunNB Personal Achievement award twice (2014 and 2018).

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (Thomas) Booker; children, Laura Booker (Mike) of Ottawa, Sonya Booker (Alex) of Toronto, Phillip Booker III of Halifax, Jennifer Booker (Ryan) of Harvey, Lori Callan (Jerry) of Toronto and George Nadeau (Shannon) of San Antonio; and 14 beautiful grandchildren.
