I wish to offer heartfelt sympathy to Lorna’s sister, Shirley, and to all her nieces and nephews. Lorna and I became best friends when we were three years old in our village of Baie Verte, NB. Although our paths diverged we remained close especially in recent years. In 2003 I presented her with New Brunswick’s first Vice-regal commendation for volunteer service. I remember especially working together to prepare desserts for 350 guests who welcomed the new millennium at Old Government House, December 31, 1999. Thank you, sweet friend, for all the memories and may you abide in eternal peace with your beloved Mac.
