Dianne, Gisèle and I join other members of the community in extending our heartfelt condolences to you on the occasion of your mother’s death. While we never had the good fortunate to meet your mom, we felt we knew her through you. It was evident that the two of you had a strong bond. We know how committed you and Ernie were to your mother in these latter years. She was fortunate to have such a loving and loyal daughter as you. We look forward to seeing you and Ernie upon our return to Fredericton.

Clarice was an original, a lovely lady gifted with good humor, wit, elegance, and true grit. Not to mention a passion for bridge, She had it all for over a hundred years. We were so lucky that she became part of our family. I did not get to see Clarice much in recent years, but I do remember with particular fondness our last chat together where we rang in the New Year virtually, with the help of a little wine and computer technology. Condolences to all the family. The pain of loss will pass; the joyous memories of a life shared will last as long as we do. A touching eulogy Dianne! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you say goodbye and celebrate a life so well lived.

When Dianne and I performed as a piano duet team during the years I lived in Fredericton, Clarice was one of our biggest supporters. I will always remember her sense of humour, her grit and determination, her love of social occasions. I am grateful to have known her.
