My deepest sympathies to family and friends. I used to work with Rob at Atelka. We would chat on break time or on our lunches. Rob was a great guy. He will be missed. RIP Rob.
May the Lord be with you during these hard times...

I met Rob Bridson back in St-Thomas University, when there was a residence called "Keddie's", a "newly" acquisitioned motel for the University of St-Thomas. It was 24 years ago, when fate would deem that 2 Roberts should share a residence room. It made it both convenient and inconvenient on both parties to share that detail to other students at STU or UNB. 2 completely different personalities yet principles and morals were aligned enough to agree to not only be friends but roommates when a choice was offered the following year..semester really. I still recall the first time I "met" Rob's parents; they came into the dorm room at the most non-dormitory normal time to visit their son. Yet, rather than face the public after the standard imbibing one pursues at an educational institution's dormitory, I thought it best to play unconscious and expect a hasty conclusion to this encounter. If you can recall what a model family sounded like any 90s tv show, this is what I could interpret through the dulled senses of a hangover. Rob's mother would instantly get to work on making the obvious border line of each roommate's territory disappear, his father was quieter which made me believe he was more thoughtful and aware of the situation. Rob and his mother exchanged more words than anyone would expect in this scenario...but this was their way. What Rob Bridson had was a loving family, faithful friends, appreciation for life in different aspects but genuine in his vision. If you had the opportunity to exchange a few words, spend a couple minutes around or even just witnessing the impact Rob can have on those in this world, it would not be a wasted moment in your life. Thank you for those opportune moments my friend, see you when I see you.

My sincerest condolences to Roberts family and friends. I met him when he joined CIBC. We connected because we had both graduated from Bathurst high school, Granted years apart from each other, however, it was a shared memory. It took me no time to recognize Robert's kind soul and genuine heart. He was someone who other people gravitated toward, and rightfully so. I'm so sorry that he had to fight this battle and that it's taken him away from those who loved him. He will be fondly remembered by many.

I’m so sorry for Rob’s passing. He sure put up a good fight and was so courageous throughout his battle. He inspired us all and showed so much grace. I’ve known Rob since you moved into Lone Pine in the late 90’s. We went to high school together. I always enjoyed his vast music knowledge. The legacy of you Rob lives on. Much love to the family! ❤️

I worked with Robert at CIBC. He always strive to be better and was always willing to share his best practices with everyone. We would talk about 80s hairbands and their front men. He especially liked Skid Row.. then he would switch to sports and I would just nod until someone else chimed in. He fought for a very long time against a disease that is relentless and ruthless. He fought it daily and I am sure his positivity never wavered. He was just that person. RIP Robert. As Slaughter sang... Fly to the Angels.

Bridson, it is hard to believe 21 years ago I met you at Rigby Hall. We were just kids ready to take on the world. I will never forget you singing (well trying to sing)Down With the Sickness by Disturbed. It broke the ice. You always had this strength to face the challenges. I never realized how strong you were until you got your diagnosis and you showed your strength. Our conversations about faith will stay with me. Who knew we'd bond about music and Jesus.
My prayers are with your family and all who love you. Peace to you Bridson.

The world has truly lost somebody special. Nobody was as passionate about sports or music as Rob was. It was an honour to join him at so many concerts. Going to a show simply won't be the same without him. You will be deeply missed, my friend.

My dear friend Robert, my heart is completely broken, but I know you're not suffering anymore. Despite having stage 4 cancer, you fought with everything you had right up to the very end. You have inspired countless people, including myself, throughout your journey. I'm beyond proud of you. I'll miss talking sports with you. I'll miss how you would always make me smile even on the hardest days. You mean so much to me. I love you and I'll forever miss you. Now you can rest peacefully with the Lord.
To Robert's parents, I'm so sorry for the loss of your amazing son. I'm sending you all my love and prayers.
Love, Jocelyne LeBlanc
