Obituary of Philip Douglas Howland
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Philip Douglas Howland at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on April 01, 2024. Born May 18, 1953, in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Douglas and Edith (Barton) Howland.
In addition to his sister, Debbie, Philip is survived by his special friend, Elaine Swift; special cousin, Keith Jones, and many relatives.
Phillip was a caring, considerate son, brother, and friend. He was an avid scholar and world traveller, as well as an exemplary teacher.
In keeping with Philips wishes, there will be no visitation or service. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to your local library, SPCA, or a charity of your choice.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
