Good night, Flavia, we know we will see you again in heaven.
How can we condense a life of selfless service and love into a few paragraphs ?
Flavia adopted our whole family when we first moved to Fredericton NB, she loved us like her own children. She was Mimi to our kids. They were at home in the welcome created by Flavia and Eben. She was a problem solver - always advocating on behalf of one person or the other. Always finding someone new to cheer up, to help.
We joked about her knack for finding one more person to help, one more person to support.
She carried her own burdens without complaining, and would take yours too, in a heartbeat.
Flavia was a woman of faith - she encouraged us to be strong when things looked bleak. I once had to ask her how she could be so upbeat all the time, and she pointed me to her faith in God.
She made us laugh with her witty sense of humour.
We love and miss you so much. We can't believe you are really gone. Our only solace from all this is knowing you are re united with Eben, forever in the presence of God.

Where to begin? The news stayed with me for a couple days before it finally sunk in. It’s clear from the solemn reflection and spiritual energy which engulfs me whilst thinking of you that a great loss to humanity has occurred. Even as I’m writing this message Flavia, the reverence of your energy is present. Your impact isn’t just with your family but to all who have encountered your Grace. Such spiritual reflection only occurs once you’ve encountered great positive spiritual energy. Flavia, your Light is there for All to see, for All to feel and for All to hear. I’m privileged to have known you. Thank you. To all family and friends yes this is a sad moment. However, rejoice knowing that Flavia’s Light will always shine in this world and the next. Flavia’s mark has been made and will ever be illuminated. Thank you, from Omar Clarke.

My deepest sympathies to Flavia’s family. I first met Flavia in 2008 when I started at NB Power. At that time she was a colleague who always showed great interest in me. I wax only there for a few months but 10 years later there was an opportunity for us to connect again when she hired me back. This time as a supervisor she was a very motherly person who cared deeply about those who worked for her, and did everything to see them succeed. Flavia also cared for many who she interacted with from other parts of the company. She will always be remembered that aspect. To me she was like a “work mom” who always wanted to see the best from me and gave guidance when needed. Thank you Flavia for giving me the chance to be part of a great team with you and for helping me become who I am today. You will be missed.

Please accept my sincere sympathies for the loss of Flavia. The photos and tribute shared are all beautiful and very fitting. Faith, pride and love for her family all come to mind when I think of her. She honoured me by calling me "sister" and I treasure our friendship and remember fondly the chats we had of our children (& her grandchildren).
She was a strong woman for sure and I am confident you, her family, will always feel her love and motherly spirit watching over you.
Warmest regards, Andrea Allen

Dear Family, your Mother, our Aunty Flavia, is the reason we now call Canada "home". In 2002 Aunty Flavia and her husband the late Uncle Eben Otuteye invited our family to Canada. Phyllis, two year old baby Naome at the time and I (Achille) came and visited and soon found out that Nigel had come along for the trip, but was "in hiding". The days we spent with Aunty Flavia, Uncle Eben and the fam gang are nothing but good and warm memories, no wonder three years later we immigrated to Canada for good. Aunty's love for her family members across the World is well known by all of us .. she must have been a Ranger in another life ... Aunty lived by the "Nemo Resideo" saying: "No one left behind". May God bless you with Eternal Rest Aunty and may God watch over all your children, Grand children and extended family. From your Niece Phyllis, Grand Niece Naome, Grand Nephew Nigel and In-law Achille.
