I had the absolute blessing and honour to take care of Mavis for a couple of years when she had home support. She was the start and end to my day (literally) and it was always so nice to sit with her and have a cup of tea and chat about life or if we were feeling really "bad" as she would say, we would have a Ginger ale together. My heart aches writing this as I learned so much from her during our time together and she always held a very special place in my heart. To Mavis's family, I am so sorry for your loss. She was a very incredible, one of a kind woman. I'll be praying for you all. Mavis, I hope you are getting all the ginger ale, crackers and cheese you could ever want!
