With deepest sympathy to the family ... It was my privilege to meet Bill many years ago when my company sent me out on my first sales call. I was so nervous but Bill greeted me with a smile and his easy manner made me comfortable very quickly. Bill shared valuable information regarding the masonry business through the years .. an awesome mentor. His knowledge in the industry was respected by all. Bill challenged me by suggesting I sit on the board of the Atlantic Masonry Association which I accepted and where my appreciation of the trade grew. I will always be grateful for Bill's encouragement and most of all for his friendship. A fine gentleman who will be missed by many.

Jennifer, Kim, Jamie and family, We were so sorry to hear of Bill's decline and passing. You folks took great care of him, especially in the last few years since Mary's death. We are so sorry we are not home to attend visitation and funeral as we are visiting our grandson in the states. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I love the photo of Bill and thats how we will remember him fondly with a smile and a pipe. We loved to listen to Gordie and Bill in the choir for so many years and we fondly remember the service Rev Miss Ellie prepared to honour their remarkable accomplishment and dedication of 70 years in the choir. Chris enjoyed singing between the 2 tenors. It was very special. We have cherished memories of visits at the lake and watching Bill and Mary enjoy their grandchildren. and of course, Bill was a great friend and fellow longtime cohort of my Dad, Fred at the Caines River Business institute. They did a great deal of good work. He will be missed by so many. Love and hugs to all of you. Take care of each other. Sincerely, Karen and Chris

Jamey, Kim and Jennifer - Sorry to hear of you Dad's passing. I'll remember your Dad fondly. He always seemed genuinely interested in what the 'boys' were up to and how life was going for us in general. He was an extremely generous person. Always willing to offer up the Wagoneer or Rabbit for the numerous road trips we enjoyed, or the pool for a swim. I recall that we always called him Mr. Young, never Bill - Out of respect and admiration. May your memories of your Dad be a blessing to you all. Going to cheer extra hard for the Blue Jays this summer in memory of Mr. Young. Grant S.
